How to Invite Your Accountant to QuickBooks Online

From your QuickBooks Online homepage, click on the gear icon located in the top right corner of the screen. Next, select Manage Users from the popup window. The Manage users screen shows three tabs: Users, Roles, and Accountants. The “Users” tab in QuickBooks Online allows you to manage the users who have access to your company’s QuickBooks account. The “Roles” tab is where you can define and manage user roles. The “Accountants” tab is specifically designed for managing the access and permissions of external accountants or accounting firms that you want to collaborate with.

From the Accountants” tab, enter the email address of your accountant and then click the green Invite button.

Inviting an account to access your QuickBooks Online files

Your accountant will receive an email invitation with instructions to accept and access your QuickBooks Online account. Once they accept the invitation, they will have access to your financial data in QuickBooks Online and can begin collaborating with you.
