In Part 4 of this QuickBooks Payments series, we will take a look at the QuickBooks GoPayment mobile app. (If you missed Part 3 On the Merchant Service Center, you can click here to view that first.) GoPayment is the mobile app that allows you to accept payments from any mobile device and have the transactions push back into your QuickBooks register at the end of the day. Simple and straightforward to use, it comes with the ability to create and save products and services along with the pricing, product groups, create discounts, save customers, and email or text them a receipt when the sale is completed.
Another really nice feature is the ability to create assigned users so that you can track who is using GoPayment and the transactions they are running (great for a company that has multiple users in the field like service and repair industries etc.). You have the ability to get free card readers and can decide between the simple “dongle” headphone jack reader, or a Bluetooth reader that lets you accept chip cards as well as Google Pay, Apple Pay, and Samsung Pay. The Bluetooth readers are inexpensive ranging from $19 to $49 for the one that does it all.
